Optimizing your Web Site

A web site must contain the right elements to rank high with the search engines. A great concept, good design and correct coding are critical.

META Tag Creation

Meta tags are keywords and a description of your page located in the html code portion of your web site. Ideally every page of a site should have its own keywords taylored to the content of the page. Search engines use this code to determine listings based on the user's search. They will also use this information to rank the site. Chances of a high ranking will increase with well developed META Tags.

Doorway Pages

A user referred by a search engine will not necessarily enter your site at the start page. Let's assume a user is looking for a specific "widget". Your start page gives an introduction and overview of your business, talks about your products in general. The specific "widget" is on page 5, your catalog page.

With META Tags developed specifically for page 5, the search engine will add page 5 to its search results rather than page 1. This is where your potential customer enters. This page is called a Doorway Page. Based on your site map any number of pages qualify as Doorway Pages.

Site Formatting and Miscellaneous Services

We perform these services on sites we did not design. This includes checking, formatting and corrections of the code, if necessary. These services are billed at a 1 hour minimum charge.
